Assembling and Departure :
Assembling and Departure: The group will gather at the designated pick-up point at 9 PM. After a brief introduction by the trip captain, we will embark on our journey towards Chopta. En route, we will pass through the breathtaking confluences of the Ganga river, including the Devprayag and Rudraprayag areas.
Drive from Delhi to Chopta:
The journey from Delhi to Chopta takes approximately 12-14 hours, offering a chance to admire the breathtaking beauty of the lower Garhwal Himalayas. One of the most memorable and picturesque stops along the way is Devaprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers converge. This stunning sight, where the holy Ganga is formed, is a highlight of the trip. The river will accompany you throughout the drive, adding to the serenity and magnificence of the landscape.
Day 2 : Chopta Arrival | Leisure Day

Arrival at Chopta : Upon arrival at Chopta, we will check into our campsites, which are beautifully located in a peaceful forest clearing. As today is a summit day, we’ll start early to catch the sunrise and experience the Himalayas at their most magical. The trek from Chopta to Tungnath begins with a well-defined concrete trail that gradually ascends through meadows and forests.
The Trail from Chopta to Tungnath :
The trek begins with a well-defined concrete trail that leads from Chopta to Tungnath, stretching for 4-5 km. The climb is gradual, with a few bends, making it a manageable ascent. As you climb, the landscape transforms, with lush meadows and forests giving way to stunning views. The trail also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities, with sightings of birds like the Monal and Griffon Vultures. The final stretch reveals the Tungnath temple, a revered beacon of history and spirituality.
Tungnath Temple: A Sacred Landmark :
Upon arrival at Tungnath, you’ll feel a sense of awe. This ancient shrine, one of the Panch Kedars, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. At 3,680 meters, it’s the highest Shiva temple in the world. According to legend, the Pandavas built it during their search for Lord Shiva. The temple’s ancient stone structure, surrounded by tranquil mountains, creates a spiritual atmosphere that feels timeless and sacred.
The Ascent to Chandrashila Summit :
From Tungnath, a short but steep climb leads to the Chandrashila summit. The 500-foot ascent is challenging but rewarding. In winter, crampons and gaiters are essential for safety, and the trek organizers provide these. After a final 30-45 minute climb, the summit rewards you with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba, among others

After an early morning breakfast, we will check out from our campsites and begin our drive towards Sari Village. The journey itself is picturesque, offering glimpses of the surrounding mountains and landscapes, setting the tone for the next part of our adventure.
Trek to Deoria Tal:
Upon arrival in Sari Village, we will begin our trek to Deoria Tal, a pristine lake located at an elevation of about 2,438 meters. The trek takes us through lush forests and meadows, providing stunning views of the distant peaks. Deoria Tal is known for its crystal-clear waters that reflect the majestic Chaukhamba peaks perfectly, creating a mirror-like surface that is a photographer's dream. We’ll take some time to relax and enjoy the beauty of the lake, capturing the peaceful moments amidst nature.
Return Journey to Delhi:
After spending time at Deoria Tal, we will trek back to Sari Village, where we’ll board an overnight bus for our return journey to Delhi. As we travel back, we’ll reflect on the memorable experiences shared during the trip, cherishing the stunning views, the serenity of the lake, and the camaraderie that made the journey so special.
Day 5 : Reaching Delhi
We will arrive in Delhi by early morning, marking the end of our memorable journey. After a heartfelt farewell, the group will part ways, taking with them the cherished memories of the adventure.
